Plumbing and copper pipework
Leaks found and fixed, copper pipework installed and soldered properly, and the place left clean when we go.

What we do
- Leak detection and repair — finding where it’s actually coming from before anything gets cut open
- Copper pipe installation and soldering — properly made joints, not push-fit bodges hidden behind a panel
- Replacing old or corroded pipework
- Re-routing pipework for kitchens, bathrooms and extensions
- Isolation valves fitted so future work doesn’t mean draining the house
- Outside taps
- Burst and frozen pipe repairs
Finding the leak first
A damp patch on a ceiling is rarely directly under the leak — water runs along joists before it drops. Cutting a hole in the wrong place costs you twice: once for the hole and once for the repair that didn’t fix it. We’d rather spend half an hour finding it properly.
If you have water coming in now, turn off your stopcock before you ring. It’s usually under the kitchen sink. Worth finding out where yours is before you ever need it.
What we don’t do
Being straight with you: We’re a heating engineer rather than a full bathroom fitter. Pipework, leaks and the plumbing side of heating are our work. Full bathroom installations, tiling and drainage are better done by someone who does that every day, and we’ll say so rather than take the job on.
Check our Gas Safe registration before you open the door
Gas Safe Register no. 973956Please check it. Don’t take our word for it, and don’t trust a logo on a website — anyone can copy one. Search the number at gassaferegister.co.uk, call Gas Safe Register free on 0800 408 5500, or text GAS 973956 to 85080. Your engineer will show you their Gas Safe ID card at the door — please ask to see it.
Common questions
Can you come out to a leak today?
We will always try for an active leak. Turn your stopcock off first and ring us on 07955 511192.
Do you use copper or plastic?
Copper where it is visible or where it matters, soldered properly. Plastic has its place in some runs. We will tell you which we are using and why.
My pipes are frozen. What should I do?
Turn the water off at the stopcock in case the pipe has split. Thaw gently with warm — never boiling — water or a hot water bottle, starting from the tap end. Never use a naked flame. If you cannot reach it or it has already burst, ring us.
