New boiler installation
A free written quote, a straight recommendation, and no pressure selling. Registered with Gas Safe and Building Control when the job is done.

How we quote
We come and look. We don’t quote for boilers over the phone or from an online form, because the price depends on what’s actually there — where the flue can go, what the pipework is like, whether the gas supply is adequate, and what the system needs.
You get a written quote with the boiler make and model, the warranty length, what’s included and what isn’t. No deposit to get a quote, and no obligation.
What a proper installation includes
- Correct sizing for your property — an oversized boiler cycles, wastes gas and wears out faster. Bigger is not better.
- A system cleanse or power flush before the new boiler goes on. Fitting a new boiler to a dirty system can void the warranty.
- A magnetic system filter fitted and the system dosed with inhibitor — most manufacturers now require this for the longer warranties.
- Gas supply pipe checked and upgraded if it’s undersized, which is common in older West London properties
- Correct flue positioning and condensate run
- Controls set up and explained to you properly
- Registered with Gas Safe and notified to Building Control, with your certificate posted to you
- Benchmark book completed, which your warranty depends on
Period properties round here
Much of Acton, Chiswick, Bedford Park and Ealing is Victorian and Edwardian housing, and that brings particular issues: old gravity-fed systems being converted to combi, microbore pipework, cylinders in airing cupboards, and pipework buried in solid floors. Parts of Bedford Park and Chiswick are conservation areas, which restricts where a flue can be positioned on a front elevation. We’ll flag that at the quote stage rather than on the day.
Check our Gas Safe registration before you open the door
Gas Safe Register no. 973956Please check it. Don’t take our word for it, and don’t trust a logo on a website — anyone can copy one. Search the number at gassaferegister.co.uk, call Gas Safe Register free on 0800 408 5500, or text GAS 973956 to 85080. Your engineer will show you their Gas Safe ID card at the door — please ask to see it.
Common questions
How long does it take?
A straight swap, same position, same boiler type: usually one day. A conversion from a conventional system to a combi, or moving the boiler: two to three days. We will tell you before we start.
Combi or system boiler?
Depends on the house and how you use hot water. Combis suit flats and smaller houses with one bathroom. If you have two or more bathrooms and several people wanting hot water at once, a system boiler with a cylinder is usually better. We will tell you which fits your property, not which is dearest.
What warranty will I get?
It depends on the boiler and on the installer accreditation. Whatever is quoted, it is conditional on an annual service by a Gas Safe engineer — keep every record.
Do I need Building Control?
Yes, and it is included. Any new gas boiler must be notified. We register it under the Gas Safe scheme and your certificate is posted to you. Keep it: you will need it when you sell the house.
Can you work on my unvented cylinder?
Yes. Unvented pressurised cylinders such as a Megaflo legally require a separate G3 qualification on top of Gas Safe registration, and we hold it. That covers installing, commissioning and servicing them. Plenty of engineers do not, so it is worth asking anyone you call — servicing one counts too, because it means working on the safety devices.
